CONSTRUCTION SITE QUALITY CONTROL

Foundation construction requires quality control just as all other construction work. If the floor structures do not meet the set quality requirements or are stretched, the repair costs may be considerable or the use of the building may even have to be banned.

Civil engineering quality control is usually performed by tightness tests (Troxler) or load-bearing tests (plate load test). The requirements and approval of quality control tests are done by the responsible geodesigner. In addition, on-site technical quality control can be performed in connection with the designer’s site visit.

A construction site without quality control is not a 21st century construction site. Failure in foundations can easily result in tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of repair costs if the work is not done as planned. It is in the customer's interest to require the contractor to meet the agreed requirements.
